The leading company in Italy specializing in the production of medical application needles faced the challenge of ensuring that small tools used by operators did not accidentally end up inside the needle packaging—a situation that was occurring with some frequency.

We identified miniaturized UHF tags and made them easy to apply to the tools. During production, at the end of the line, the bulk container holding the needles was passed through a tunnel that detected the presence of any tagged items inside. This approach fully resolved the issue.
